Brilliant yellow is a sodium salt of a disulfonated azo dye used in textile and paper dyeing. It is a water-soluble, bright yellow pigment with high color fastness. In the laboratory it also serves as a water-soluble pH indicator and analytical reagent for acid-base testing. CAS: 3051-11-4, Molecular formula: C26H18N4Na2O8S2, Molecular weight: 624.55.
