Zinc stearate is a zinc carboxylate salt (a metal soap) of stearic acid widely used as a lubricant, release agent, and stabilizer in plastics, rubber, and cosmetics. It improves mold release, reduces friction, and acts as an anti-blocking agent in powdered formulations.
