TOOS (3-(N-Ethyl-3-methylanilino)-2-hydroxypropanesulfonic acid sodium salt) is a water-soluble aniline-derived chromogenic hydrogen donor (Trinder reagent) used in peroxidase/H2O2-coupled colorimetric assays, such as glucose, cholesterol and uric acid determination, where it couples with 4-aminoantipyrine to form a colored dye.
