Sodium molybdate is a white, water-soluble inorganic compound used as a corrosion inhibitor, catalyst, and source of molybdenum in industrial and laboratory applications. It is also used in pigment manufacture, as an additive in metal-finishing baths, and as a molybdenum micronutrient in fertilizers and soil amendments.
