Propiconazole is a triazole fungicide widely used in agriculture to control fungal diseases in crops like wheat, barley, and fruit trees. Beyond foliar crop protection, it is also used as a seed treatment, on turf and ornamentals, and as a wood preservative against decay, soft rot and blue stain fungi. It inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis, protecting plants from infections such as rust, powdery mildew, and blight.
