Naphthol AS-BI phosphate is a histochemical and fluorogenic substrate for acid and alkaline phosphatases, used for example in tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP) staining, where phosphatase hydrolysis releases Naphthol AS-BI that is coupled with diazonium salts in situ to form a colored deposit. It is a sodium salt of a phosphoric acid derivative, providing good solubility and reactivity in aqueous systems. Available in anhydrous form with a molecular weight of 496.16 g/mol, CAS number 1919-91-1, and stored at 2 to 8 °C. Molekula supplies Naphthol AS-BI phosphate from research to bulk quantities with full documentation and ISO 9001:2015 traceability.
