Mupirocin lithium salt is a lithium salt derivative of mupirocin, used as a selective supplement in microbiology culture media, for example in mupirocin-containing agars for the selective isolation of Bifidobacterium, and as a pharmacopeial (USP/EP CRS) reference standard.
