Heparin lithium salt is a highly sulfated glycosaminoglycan used as an anticoagulant in clinical and research settings. It inhibits blood clotting by enhancing the activity of antithrombin III. Available with CAS number 9045-22-1, it is stored at ambient temperature and classified as Danger because it may cause allergy or asthma symptoms or breathing difficulties if inhaled (H334) and may cause an allergic skin reaction (H317).
