Ethyl cellulose (ETHOCEL standard 100) is a non-ionic, water-insoluble cellulose ether, soluble in organic solvents such as alcohols, esters and aromatic hydrocarbons, used as a binder, film-former, and viscosity modifier in industrial coatings, adhesives, plastics, and pharmaceuticals. It provides excellent clarity, flexibility, and chemical resistance in formulations.
