Erythromycylamine is a semi-synthetic derivative of erythromycin A in which the C-9 ketone has been converted to an amine (the 9S diastereoisomer). It is the key intermediate in the synthesis of the macrolide antibiotic dirithromycin and is also dirithromycin's active metabolite, and it is used as a reference standard (Dirithromycin EP Impurity A) for impurity profiling and quality control of dirithromycin. It is also employed in research for its antimicrobial properties and structural studies. This chemical has a CAS number of 26116-56-3, with the molecular formula C37H70N2O12 and a molecular weight of 734.96 g/mol. It must be stored at a temperature range of -15 to -20°C and carries a Danger signal word due to its hazardous nature. Molekula supplies Erythromycylamine from research to bulk quantities with full documentation and ISO 9001:2015 traceability.
