Didocosahexaenoin is a 1,3-diacylglycerol in which two docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) chains are esterified at the 1- and 3-positions of glycerol, leaving a free 2-hydroxyl group. It is used as a research lipid and analytical standard in lipid analysis and diacylglycerol research. Because its DHA chains are highly polyunsaturated, it is very prone to oxidation and must be handled and stored accordingly.
