Barium acetate is a white crystalline solid used in chemical synthesis, catalyst preparation, and the production of other barium compounds. It is also employed in the manufacture of ceramics and as a reagent in analytical chemistry. Industrial buyers also use it as a mordant for textile dyeing and printing and as a drying agent in paint and varnish formulations.
