3-Amino-1,2,4-triazole is a heterocyclic organic compound used in pharmaceutical synthesis, agrochemicals, and as a corrosion inhibitor. It is best known as a herbicide for controlling grasses, broadleaf and aquatic weeds in non-crop areas, and also serves as a plant growth regulator and chemical synthesis feedstock. It is a white to off-white crystalline powder with a molecular formula of C2H4N4 and a molecular weight of 84.08 g/mol.
