Naphthol Green B is a synthetic organic pigment used in dyeing, printing, and laboratory applications requiring stable green coloration. It is a nitroso dye, the sodium salt of an iron(III) complex of 5-(oxidoimino)-6-oxo-5,6-dihydronaphthalene-2-sulfonate (a nitroso-naphthol sulfonate), and contains no azo group.
