3-Nitroaniline is an aromatic amine with a nitro group attached to a benzene ring, widely used as an intermediate in the synthesis of dyes, pharmaceuticals, and agrochemicals, including azo pigments (as the diazo component Fast Orange R Base) and 3-nitrophenol, which is prepared from it by diazotization.
