Manufacturing
Manufacturing at every scale — from research grams to multi-tonne supply.
Our ATEX-rated UK production site in Newton Aycliffe, together with the reactor sites of our Sherman Chemicals and Scafell Organics businesses, makes gases in solution, standardised volumetric solutions, reactive reagents and custom products to order. Our in-house chemists pack, test and release every batch. Whether you need a new concentration, a solvent nobody lists, or regular bulk supply, we can make it.

What we make
Product families made in-house
Gases in solution
Anhydrous gases dissolved to a stated molarity, ready to dose straight from the bottle.
Standardised volumetric solutions
Titrants made to a certified normality, verified by auto-titration batch by batch.
- Sulfuric acid 1.0N
- Sulfuric acid 0.2M
- Other acids & bases to your normality
Reactive reagent solutions
Strong bases, azides and amines supplied as ready-to-use solutions — safer to handle than the neat material.
Organometallics & acid chlorides
Through Scafell Organics: Grignard reagents, acid chlorides and specialty monomers.
Blends, dilutions & formulations
Mixed and blended to your specification in 300L production vessels, from development batches to ongoing bulk supply.
Milling, purification & custom synthesis
Through Sherman Chemicals: particle-size reduction, purification and contract manufacture across multiple reactor sites.
Services
What we can do for you
-
Made to your spec
Your concentration, solvent, grade and impurity limits — not just catalogue items.
-
Repacking & subdivision
Bulk material repacked into anything from milligram vials to drums and bulk containers, in dedicated packaging rooms with full extraction.
-
Own-label & custom packaging
Your labels, your containers, compliant hazard labelling.
-
Scale-up & repeat supply
Lab-scale trial, then scheduled production campaigns. For very large volumes, our reactor sites and approved manufacturing partners scale with you.
Quality
Every batch tested and released on site
Each batch ships with its own Certificate of Analysis, under ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015, traceable from raw material to your delivery.
How we work
From enquiry to delivery — six structured steps.
Each stage is managed by experienced teams to ensure speed, quality and full compliance.
-
1
Customer enquiry & requirement review
Submit product, grade, quantity and application requirements. Technical and commercial review by our sales team. Clarification of specifications, timelines and delivery location.
-
2
Product identification & sourcing
Identification of suitable in-stock or sourced products. Engagement with approved global manufacturing partners if required. Verification of specifications, grades and regulatory suitability.
-
3
Quotation & commercial confirmation
Transparent quotation covering pricing, lead time and pack sizes. Volume pricing and repeat-supply options where applicable. Customer approval and order confirmation.
-
4
Quality control & documentation
Batch-level quality checks and documentation review. Provision of Certificate of Analysis (COA) and Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Full traceability and compliance validation.
-
5
Order processing & logistics
Order scheduling and inventory allocation. Packaging and labelling in line with regulatory requirements. Coordination of domestic or international shipping.
-
6
Delivery & ongoing support
Reliable delivery to the specified location. Post-delivery support for documentation or technical queries. Ongoing supply planning for repeat or contract customers.
