Ondansetron USP CRS is a selective 5-HT3 receptor antagonist primarily used as an antiemetic to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and postoperative recovery. As a USP reference standard, it is used in the identification, assay and related-compound testing procedures of USP monographs for ondansetron drug substance and dosage forms.
