Ammonium bromide is an inorganic salt composed of ammonium and bromide ions, primarily used as a sedative, anticonvulsant, and in photography, as well as a reagent in chemical synthesis and flame retardant applications. It is a white, crystalline solid with a mild saline taste, soluble in water and polar solvents. Ammonium bromide has a CAS number of 12124-97-9, with the molecular formula H4BrN and a molecular weight of 97.94246 g/mol. It is stable under ambient storage conditions.
